LAPAD
Lapad is a large peninsula and a relatively new part of Dubrovnik, not as old as Dubrovnik's Old Town. It is just outside (3km) on the North West side of Dubrovnik Old Town. There is a frequent 10 minute bus ride that connects Lapad to the Old Town.
Most of Dubrovniks beaches are in Lapad so you'll be within walking distance of the sea. Lapad is very compact and your can walk everywhere.
Lapad bay has a long boulevard with many cafes, bars and restaurants. Lapad has many other attractive places: If you like sports, beach volleyball or tennis are on offer. Courts are located on beaches or near them. There is also a beautiful walkway for romantic and peaceful walks, conected to the boulevard. It is a path which leads all around Lapad peninsula and that is probably the most beautiful path for walking in Dubrovnik.
